A coaltion of activists from the Utica chapters of Justice or Else and the Black Rose Anarchist Federation as well as students from Mohawk Valley Community College’s Black Student Union and Hamilton College Democratic Socialists took to the Christopher Columbus statue on the corner of Mohawk Street and Pleasant Street to promote Indigenous Peoples’ Day and protest Columbus Day.
