Utica resident and activist Marquis Palmer gave a powerful speech at the Utica, NY rally in honor of George Floyd and in solidarity with the Minneapolis uprising. Nearly 1,000 people marched down Oneida street to Oneida Square in the largest demonstration held in the city in years. He called on people to remember the names Walter Washington and Jessie Lee Rose who were both killed by the UPD. This is an impassioned plea to fight for justice in Utica and in the joint struggles of Black Lives Matter and Native Lives Matter.
