Central New York Activists Take On Growing Inequality

Utica – On Thursday, July 14, Central New York Citizens in Action, Inc. will host a workshop to discuss the root causes of runaway inequality and its effects on race, education, housing, criminal justice and other issues facing our community.

The workshop will be held Thursday, July 14, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Utica, 10 Higby Road, Utica, NY 13501 (off Genesee Street in South Utica).

New York has become the inequality capital, with the wealthiest 1% of residents taking 35% of all significant wealth gains over the last two decades. Over the same time period, the wages of most New Yorkers have remained stagnant. The workshop will be free and open to the public.
