UTICA – Just days after the tragic attack against LGBTQIA club-goers in Orlando, community members in Utica planned a candle-light vigil for victims of the attack.
Several speakers also shared words with a crowd of over a hundred who showed up to show their solidarity with a community under attack throughout the nation, both legislatively and physically.
The names of the victims were not read, but there were 49 bags lined up across the stage at Edward Hanna Park outside of Utica City Hall to commemorate each of the victims of the deadliest assault against the LGBTQIA community in US history.
